Where it all began
When we first arrived on site, the garden was heavily overgrown — dense shrubs, fallen branches, and years of unchecked growth had left the space unusable. Before any landscaping work could begin, the area needed a full clearance. Using a mini excavator, we removed the existing vegetation, old rockery stones, and debris to give us a clean, level canvas to work from.
Preparing the ground
With the garden cleared, we got to work on the groundworks. The soil was graded and levelled, raised bed borders were formed using fresh timber, and the sub-base was carefully prepared to ensure a solid, long-lasting foundation for the new patio. Getting this stage right is crucial — it’s what separates a patio that lasts from one that shifts and cracks within a few years.
Laying the paving
With the groundworks complete, our team began laying large-format porcelain paving slabs across the patio and pathway areas. Each slab was set on a full mortar bed and checked with a laser level and spirit level to ensure a perfectly flat, even finish throughout. The attention to detail at this stage is something we take real pride in — no shortcuts, every slab perfectly placed.
The finishing touches
As the project came together, the new artificial lawn was rolled out and the pergola frame installed, framing the rear of the property beautifully. The result is a clean, modern outdoor living space — functional, low maintenance, and built to last.
